URBAN ECOSYSTEM RESEARCH CONSORTIUM

OF PORTLAND/VANCOUVER

UERC is a consortium of people from educational institutions, state and federal agencies, local governments, non-profit organizations and businesses, as well as independent professionals and students, interested in supporting urban ecosystem research and creating an information sharing network to collect, share, and use ecological data in the Portland/Vancouver area. UERC does not provide a political or advocacy platform, but rather offers a forum for professionals to exchange and discuss information regarding urban ecology and its application to relevant issues.

UERC promotes information sharing through the following activities:

Annual Symposia

We organize an annual symposium in the spring, with an open call for presentation/posters in the preceding fall.

Our next symposium will be held on March 11th, 2024, at Reed College.

For more information on the symposium and proceedings from past symposia, visit our symposia page.

Lunch and Learn

The lunch-and-learn series follows the symposium in the summer/fall and features more in-depth presentations from symposium speakers that attendees indicated they most wanted to learn more about.

 E-mail Listserver

We also host a e-mail listserver, so please sign up if you'd like to receive news and exchange information related to urban ecology in the Portland/Vancouver region.
